Goals

Setting goals is ONE of the most important things you can do for yourself. The times in life when I was feeling the most lost were times when I wasn't working towards something. It's easy to get wrapped up in taking care of responsibilities (at home, work, or school) that we start mixing our responsibilities with personal accomplishments.

While we should absolutely be congratulating ourselves on as many accomplishments as we achieve every day, I'm specifically talking about creating new opportunities for personal growth. I'm talking about changing something about your life that you haven't given much attention to before. I'm talking about finally getting to that thing that I've been "meaning to" get to, but just haven't yet. That's where your goals begin.

Whether about your health and fitness, bad habits, work environment, or the relationships with the people around you, setting goals is the first step towards increasing the amount of happiness in your life. The actual goal is specific and unique to you and your life and your path to achieving it should be just as specific and unique for you as well. The different techniques in yoga such as the postures, meditations, breathing exercises, mantras and more can all be suited to fit your needs throughout your journey to further support your success.
